Basics on Mountaineering on Sunday, October 9, 2011

Inviting you again for another seminar / workshop on Sunday, October 9, 2011.

The following will be the itenerary:

Day 1: October 9, 2011
Indoor workshop / discussion on the Basics of Mountaineering - Contribution is P500 to cover cost of use of venue, lunch, snacks.

Day 2: To be agreed upon
Practicum or Application of the learnings at Sto Tomas or whatever the group will agree upon, for at least P500 each budget for a group of 20 persons.

- Weather Proofing & Pack Loading
3. Trekking Techniques & Discipline
4. Camp Site Management & Camp Site Selection
5. Water Management & Selection
6. Ropemanship
7. Land Navigation
8. Basics in First Aid
9. Environmental Ethics and Principles
10. Sensitivity (host communities & fellow)


OPTIONAL:
Practicum on the Second Day (own expense)
- participant may join other schedules for the Practicum

--- Basic Mountaineering Course by Chairman of Education, Mountaineering Federation of the Philippines, Inc. / formerly President shall be scheduled anytime before or during the Pre-Climb Meeting for Mount Apo & Mount Kinabalu Trek.

---Those who are joining this initial Basic Mountaineering Course shall avail of a 25% discount during the next BMC (by advanced & more experienced mountaineers - trained in the USA, Switzerland or those who climbed Mt. Everest - depending on the availability of the speakers)
